Cancellation & Refund Policy

The booking amount or advance payment paid at the time of reservation is non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the specific cancellation terms communicated for the particular package or service.

Once a booking has been confirmed, the amount paid may be committed towards accommodation, transportation, permits, activity bookings, vendors, or other arrangements made on behalf of the customer.

Unless otherwise specifically stated in writing by Trek on India, bookings are non-cancellable and non-amendable.

In the event of cancellation, modification, postponement, change of dates, reduction in the number of participants, or no-show by the customer, the amount already paid may be retained towards cancellation and other applicable charges.

Any exception shall be entirely subject to the applicable package-specific cancellation policy and the written approval of Trek on India.

No refund shall be provided in case of:

• No-show by the participant
• Late arrival resulting in missed transportation or activities
• Failure to report at the designated pickup point or reporting time
• Voluntary withdrawal from the trip
• Voluntary departure before completion of the tour or trek
• Failure to participate in any included activity

No refund shall be provided for unused accommodation, transportation, meals, activities, permits, or other services resulting from early departure or non-participation.

Where a trip, trek, tour, activity, or service is affected by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Trek on India, including but not limited to:

• Government orders or restrictions
• Natural calamities
• Landslides
• Floods
• Earthquakes
• Extreme weather conditions
• Heavy snowfall
• Road closures
• Protests or civil disturbances
• Strikes
• Transportation disruptions
• Safety restrictions
• Closure of trekking routes
• Restrictions imposed by local authorities
• Other unforeseen circumstances

the applicable refund, credit, voucher, rescheduling, or alternative arrangement shall be determined based on the circumstances, amounts recoverable from Service Providers, and the applicable package terms.

Trek on India shall make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative or assistance wherever reasonably possible.

Certain activities, including adventure activities, trekking activities, rafting, bungee jumping, camping, sightseeing, or other outdoor experiences, may be subject to weather conditions, safety requirements, operational restrictions, government permissions, or decisions of the relevant Service Provider.

If an activity is cancelled, suspended, or modified due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Trek on India or the relevant Service Provider, the activity may be substituted, rescheduled, or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the applicable package terms and Service Provider policy.

Where an activity is non-refundable from the Service Provider, the corresponding amount may not be refundable to the customer.

If a trek is cancelled by Trek on India due to natural calamities, route closure, extreme weather, government restrictions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control, Trek on India may provide a travel voucher or credit equivalent to the eligible amount received, subject to the applicable package terms and amounts recoverable from Service Providers.

Unless otherwise specified, such voucher or credit shall be valid for three (3) months from the date of issue and shall be subject to availability.

The voucher or credit may be used towards another eligible Trek on India trip or package, subject to applicable terms, availability, and any difference in price.

If a trek, tour, or journey is discontinued or terminated midway due to natural calamities, extreme weather, route conditions, government restrictions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Trek on India, no refund shall ordinarily be applicable for the unused portion of the trip, subject to applicable law and the specific terms of the booking.

Trek on India may, where reasonably possible, assist participants with alternative arrangements. Any additional cost arising from such arrangements may be payable by the participant unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Trek on India shall not ordinarily be responsible for additional expenses incurred by participants as a result of natural calamities, weather conditions, delays, route closures, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such expenses may include, but are not limited to:

• Additional accommodation
• Additional transportation
• Food and meals
• Alternative travel arrangements
• Medical or evacuation expenses
• Porter or luggage charges
• Additional permits or entry fees
• Personal expenses
• Costs arising from extended stays

Participants are advised to maintain appropriate travel insurance covering trip interruption, cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and other relevant travel risks.

Certain services booked through Trek on India may be subject to the cancellation, refund, amendment, or rescheduling policies of hotels, transport operators, activity providers, airlines, government authorities, trekking operators, or other third-party Service Providers.

Where such policies apply, Trek on India shall be entitled to follow the applicable terms imposed by the relevant Service Provider. The customer acknowledges that certain third-party services may be fully or partially non-refundable.

Where a refund is approved under the applicable cancellation policy, Trek on India shall process the eligible refund after deducting any applicable cancellation charges, service charges, non-refundable vendor amounts, taxes, transaction charges, or other amounts that are legitimately non-recoverable.

Refunds shall generally be processed through the original payment method or another method agreed by Trek on India.

The time taken for the refund to reflect in the customer's account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or other financial institution.

Certain Trek on India packages, treks, tours, pilgrimage journeys, accommodation bookings, adventure activities, or special offers may have specific cancellation and refund terms.

Where a package-specific cancellation policy has been communicated to the customer at the time of booking, that policy shall apply to the relevant booking.

Customers are advised to carefully review the cancellation terms before making payment.
