Itinerary

Day 1 - Haridwar - Risikesh to Guptkashi (210km-6-7 Hour Drive)

You will be picked from Rishikesh in the morning and will be taken directly to the Guptkashi. The route will be covering the Byasi, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and Agastmuni hill stations on the way afterthat we will move toward Guptkashi, we will reach Guptkashi in evening for snack time and stay in the guest house. Dinner at Gutkashi Stay: Hotel with sharing rooms.

Day 2 - Drive to Gaurikund & Trek to Kedarnath (25km Drive & 19km Trek)

We start early morning around 5 a.m. from Guptkashi and head towards Gaurikund. Before we start we shall have our breakfast. In Gaurikund there are hot water springs. You can enjoy that for the time being. From Gaurikund our actual trek begins which is approximately 21 kms to Kedarnath temple. This is a steep trek. It’s a moderate level trek which requires good physical fitness. Before the trek begins the physical fitness of every visitor is checked there. People having respiratory issues and high blood pressure must avoid this trek. It’s a high altitude trek; hence. While trekking we can see snow clad mountains from a distance. Despite all the hardships, the beauty of this trek is astounding. This valley is surrounded by glaciers and waterfalls. The cool breeze and the scenic views are heavenly. You will forget all the worldly worries and your heart would be filled with sheer happiness. In 5-6 hours i.e. at around 3 p.m. we shall reach Kedarnath Valley. Now we shall have our lunch and rest. In the evening we can attend the evening “Aarti” or prayer at the temple. The evening aarti lasts for one hour. Let your soul get drenched in the sacred vibes of prayers and let your spirituality take you to a different world of faith and divinity. It gets quite cold here at night. This night at the valley is a special one as you can feel the sacredness inside and outside of you. Overnight stay just near to temple in Tents on sharing basis. Meals: – Dinner & Breakfast.

Day 3 - Descend Back & Drive to Chopta (76km-4Hours)

Next morning at 5 a.m. the morning prayers begin. You can see the beautiful golden rays of the rising sun falling on the temple. We must stand in the queue for our turn to worship (for Darshan) and to offer the offering to lord Shiva. Once we are done with morning prayer at the temple, we shall head back to Guptkashi and come to Chopta. We shall reach by 07-09 pm if the group descends on time. We will stay in a very beautiful campsite in Chopta. Chopta is an unspoiled raw beautiful destination lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and stunning views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. It is located at an elevation of 2,680 metres (8,790 ft) above sea level. Chopta village is surrounded by forests of pine, Deodar and rhododendron and is rich in flora and fauna including rare species of birds and musk deer. We will camp here for a night. We will stay at night in a camping tent while using a sleeping bag. sure it will be a new experience for those who have never slept in a sleeping bag. Meals: snacks, Dinner and early morning Tea, breakfast at Chopta.

Day 4 - Chopta drive to Haridwar (170 Km Drive- 6-7 Hours)

We are going to wake up early in the morning and move toward from Chopta to and return to Rishikesh. Stay at Rishikesh Hotel or cottage.

Day 5 - Rishikesh to Haridwar

Wake up in the morning with the sound of holy chants all around you.
Start off for the most exciting day of the tour as you drive your way to Rishikesh – the Yoga Capital of the world.
Upon arrival complete the check-in formalities and get ready for some water adventure.
Transfer to Shivpuri, from where you start rafting till Rishikesh with your raftmates in sync surpassing a number of rapids in the glaciated Ganga.
You can also level up your adventure by daring to cliff jump into the cold water of the river while rafting.
After all the water fun return back to the hotel to dry up and head out again to explore the bustling Rishikesh.
Continue drive to Haridwar Railway Station.

  1. You can book your tour with us at 20% advance to get the confirmation.
  2. Confirmation will be expedited within 24 hours (one working days) after the booking amount.
  3. Balance payment is to be made on arrival at the pickup location before the commencement of the tour.

Cancellation Policy

Make your booking 15 days prior in advance. If you cancel the trek due to any reason, it is mandatory to notify us. Cancellation charges will only be effective from the date we get your request to cancel the trek.
If the trek gets cancelled from our side due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund will not be initiated but we will arrange another trek.
Note :- If your trek starts once, and in between 2 or 4 days at the time of the trek, the weather gets bad or the trek route is closed for some reason due to which the trek cannot be done, then the company will not refund the any money to you.

  1. All the preparations of the company are behind this, for which you cannot blame the company.
  2. The company can suggest some other good and safe trek for you at that time – which will be done at the same cost.
  3. And if it does not happen near that place then it would be better to cancel the trek.
  4. Trek On India can do this for you by deducting the payment for the number of days you trekked and giving you a voucher or coupon code for 1 year
  5. You can use a Voucher or Coupon Code for another trek within 1 year
  6. If for any reason you return from the trek at the time of the trek, then no payment will be refunded to you.
  7. And if you have booked a trek of 6 days and if you have completed 5 days then you cannot ask for a refund of 1 day.

The cancellation charges are as follows –(Bank charges deducted are not Refundable)

  1. Up to 30 Days – 90% cost is Refundable
  2. Between 21 to 30 Days – 50% cost is Refundable
  3. Less than 20 Days – No Refund

Is it safe to travel to Kedarnath?

Yes it is completely safe to visit Kedarnath. The road is well connected till Sonprayag and heli service is also available from Phata, Sonprayag, Gaurikund. But it is advised to avoid yatra in monsoon or on a rainy day.

What is the opening & closing date of Kedarnath Dham?
