Dayara Bugyal is one of the most beautiful high altitude meadows of the country located in the Gangotri range of himalayas in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Perched at an altitude of 3408 metres above sea level, this meadow has everything a trekker wishes for. Equally beautiful throughout the year, Dayara Bugyal covers an astonishing area of 28 km and is among the highest and largest meadows which attracts hundreds of tourists and trekkers from all over the country. With magnificient views of the Himalayan peaks like Mt. Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Jaonli, Srikanth, and the Gangotri group of Peaks. Hike to Dayara Bugyal starts from a small village called Raithal which is 30 km from Uttarkashi. The hike to Dayara Bugyal is of 8 km and is of easy to medium grade. The trek trail passes through thick coniferous forests and then opens to a vast grassland i.e. Dayara Bugyal. This trek is accessible throughout the year and offers different views seasonally. It is also a perfect skiing location for the skiing lovers in the months of January and February

If the trek gets cancelled from our side due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund will not be initiated but we will arrange another trek.
Note :- If your trek starts once, and in between 2 or 4 days at the time of the trek, the weather gets bad or the trek route is closed for some reason due to which the trek cannot be done, then the company will not refund the any money to you.

The best time to go for the Dayara Bugyal Trek is between the months of March to Mid-May and from November to January. Since the months after March bring summers with them, people are attracted to the cozy climate of this destination. The duration between November to January experiences winters, thus people are drawn towards the snowfall.
From Dehradun, you can drive up to Raithal while crossing Uttarkashi. From here, the real trekking begins, in which the first day can be spent trekking from Raithal to Gui for around 5 KM and the second day can be spent trekking from Gui to DayaraBugyal for the next 3.5 KM.

Although there is no defined age to visit Dayra Bugyal. you must wait for at least your child to grow as old as 4 years. That is so the kid can walk on its own and you do not have to pick it up while trekking. But plenty of things are to be taken into consideration while you plan to take a small child up in the hills. The main point being, the unavailability of kid-friendly food, clothing, medicines in the remote hillside. Keep in mind the low temperature and be prepared to carry adequate warm clothing if you take your child along to Dayra Bugyal trek.
Dayara Bugyal is a perfect trek for beginners, it can even be considered as a pre-trek to get used to rigours of high-altitude trekking. Almost like an appetizer. It does not have tricky sections, but a couple of sections on the trek can get challenging. Amongst the high altitude treks on our list (treks that go over 11,000 feet), Dayara Bugyal poses the least risk.
December to March is that timeframe when Dayara Bugyal is covered with snow, however, with the mildly hot season of March, the same snow starts melting. If you are traveling here in the month of March, it is always advised to plan your trip in the first few weeks.
