The Kuari Pass Trek is one of the most beautiful winter trekking experiences in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Also known as the Lord Curzon Trail, this trek reaches an altitude of approximately 12,516 feet and combines historical significance with breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.
The trail takes trekkers through charming Himalayan villages such as Tugasi, Guling and Khullara, along with beautiful oak, rhododendron and walnut forests, alpine meadows and scenic mountain ridges. From the trail, trekkers can enjoy spectacular views of Nanda Devi, Pangarchulla, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Hathi Ghoda and Nilgiri mountain ranges.
One of the biggest attractions of the Kuari Pass Trek is the spectacular Himalayan panorama, including the majestic Nanda Devi Massif. During the trek, you may also come across signs of Himalayan wildlife such as snow leopards and Himalayan bears. Day-wise Itinerary
Begin your journey from Rishikesh and drive towards Joshimath through the scenic Himalayan route.
The journey passes through Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag and Nandprayag, offering beautiful views of the Himalayan valleys and rivers.
Breakfast and lunch during the journey will be at roadside eateries and are payable individually. On reaching Joshimath, check into your guest house or hotel.
In the evening, attend a short introduction and trek briefing with the trek leader and fellow trekkers. Enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay in Joshimath.
After breakfast, drive approximately 15 KM from Joshimath to Tugasi Village by taxi.
From Tugasi, begin your trek towards the Gulling Camp Viewpoint. The trek is approximately 3 KM and takes around 3–4 hours, depending on your pace.
As you walk through the trail, enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, forests and valleys. The Gulling viewpoint offers a panoramic Himalayan landscape.
After reaching the campsite, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before an overnight stay in tents.
Wake up early and enjoy the beautiful morning views of Chaukhamba Peaks before starting your trek towards Khullara.
The trail passes through beautiful forests of Oak, Rhododendron and Walnut trees. As you gradually gain altitude, the dense forest opens up to reveal breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks such as Dronagiri, Nanda Devi and Hathi-Ghoda Parvat.
Along the route, you may encounter Himalayan birds, moss-covered boulders and mountain streams, making the trail a beautiful combination of forests and mountain scenery.
Reach Khullara Campsite and spend the night in tents.
Today is the main summit day of the Kuari Pass Trek. Begin your trek early in the morning from the Khullara campsite towards Kuari Pass Summit.
The trail climbs through alpine meadows, rocky terrain and possibly snow-covered sections depending on the season. As you gain altitude, the Himalayan panorama becomes increasingly spectacular.
Reach the Kuari Pass Summit, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri and Chaukhamba along with several other Himalayan peaks.
Spend some time at the summit capturing photographs and enjoying the incredible surroundings before beginning your descent towards Khullara.
Reach the Khullara viewpoint and relax while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys and meadows.
After breakfast, begin your descent from Khullara Campsite towards Tugasi Village.
The trek can be completed on the same day, after which you will drive from Tugasi Village back to Joshimath.
Check into your hotel and relax after completing the trekking section of the journey. Overnight stay in Joshimath
Begin your return journey from Joshimath to Rishikesh in the morning.
Enjoy the scenic drive through the Himalayan landscapes and have lunch en route. Reach Rishikesh by approximately 6–7 PM, marking the completion of your Kuari Pass adventure.

- Cancellation made 60 Days or more before departure – 100% Refund.
- Cancellation made between 45 to 59 Days before departure – 75% Refund.
- Cancellation made between 30 to 44 Days before departure – 50% Refund.
- No refund is applicable for cancellations made within 30 days of departure or for No Show cases.
- A processing charge of ₹2,000 per person will be deducted from all eligible refunds.
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days after cancellation approval.
